About Summit Ski Area
Summit Ski Area

Summit Ski Area, established in 1927, is the second oldest continuous operating ski area in the United States. Summit's base elevation is 4,000 feet and has 306 feet of vertical lift for skiing. The Winter Sports Facility, as it was referred to many years ago, was developed in the Government Camp area as a result of a massive rescue search for lost skiers during a storm New Year's week in 1926.
